The class report section for PitStop 5 provides an overview about the students' responses to the identification of the type of reasoning in support of a claim. The summary provides both the most correct items and the most missed items.
The individual student reports show each student’s performance in identifying items as author, logic, or theory.
In the case of the “Most Correct” the summary shows the number of challenges that were responded to correctly by most of the students.
The report also shows the students’ misunderstanding. In the “Most Missed” area, six (6) students mislabeled the reasoning behind the statement: “The Law of Gravity….” The chain of reasoning for the Law of Gravity is “theory. ” Four (4) of the six students identified it as “authority.”
